Santiago de Cuba, May 3 (RHC)-- A donation of food for hospital institutions and isolation centers in the eastern province of Santiago de Cuba was handed over this weekend by the Contramaestre Tropical Joint Venture.

More than 50 tons, including onions, peppers, tomato sauce and fruit nectar, were donated to the Juan Bruno Zayas General Hospital, Saturnino Lora Surgical Clinic, Children's Hospital, and the Materno Norte, in addition to the Pepito Tey School, which has been converted into a center for isolated patients.

During the delivery, Luigi Crisci, president of the Tropical Petty Officer, highlighted the efforts of health personnel to counteract the coronavirus, expressing appreciation for Cuba's gesture with Italy, by sending two brigades of the Henry Reeve contingent.
