Havana, May 4 (RHC)-- During the Virtual Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel called for global solidarity and cooperation.

Early Monday morning, Diaz-Canel joined the on-line summit from Havana.

During his address, the Cuban president said: "Cuba is willing and ready to share its experiences in the fight against COVID-19 with other nations of the Non- Aligned Movement."

"Cuba won't abandon its vocation for solidarity, even though the U.S. government, for political reasons, continues to attack the international cooperation our country provides, which puts at risk the access of tens of millions of people to health services."

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said: "We have a responsibility to combine our willingness and efforts to face this immense challenge.  Let us promote international cooperation and solidarity.  Our endeavor shall be decisive."

He concluded by saying: "Let us do it for the right of our peoples to health, peace and development, fully abiding by the founding principles of Non-Aligned Movement.  Let us do it for life."
