Havana, June 16 (RHC)-- The Cuban Council of Ministers has decided to apply the first stage of the post-COVID-19 recovery to all provinces and municipalities in the country, except for Havana and Matanzas provinces, beginning Thursday, June 18th.

The start of this stage, as well as the declaration of each of its three phases, will be subject to compliance with health indicators, which allow the development of the epidemic in each territory to be evaluated.  They are: incidence rate, reproductive index, active cases, number of positive cases with known source of infection in the last 15 days and local transmission events.

Havana and Matanzas still do not meet some of these indicators.

Over the course of the next week, the ministers will continue to inform the population in detail of the various measures approved, which will be published in a tabloid in the coming days.

The information on this subject reiterates the need not to lower our guard and to maintain the physical isolation and health measures indicated, in order to initiate this gradual transition to normality, minimizing the risks involved.
