Cuba receives first foreign tourists in post-COVID-19 recovery phase

Havana, August 2 (RHC)--Cuba reported the first arrival of foreign tourists at the Jardines del Rey international airport in Cayo Coco,  as part of the post-COVID-19 recovery phase.

The visitors came on a flight from Nassau, Bahamas, and were evaluated according to established health and hygiene protocols for any respiratory symptoms.

The tourists are staying at the Pullman Hotel in Cayo Coco, which belongs to the French chain Accor Hotels.

According to the hotel's nurse, Vania López, all the hygiene, cleaning, and protection measures are activated in the facility so that the client feels safe and can enjoy a happy experience.

According to Lopez, all the premises have the conditions to ensure physical distance, hand disinfection, and means to inform tourists about the health measures that must be complied with during their stay.

The tourist destination Jardines del Rey has two other hotels, the Meliá, Cayo Coco, and Playa Paraíso, certified with the condition of Most Hygienic and Safe Tourism, ready to receive foreign travelers.
