Havana, July 2 (RHC)-- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez congratulated the Russian people and government on the resounding victory of the 'Yes' vote in the constitutional referendum held in the Eurasian nation this week.

On his account on the social network Twitter, the Cuban foreign minister stressed that the result of the referendum, held from June 25th to July 1st, is a sign of recognition of the management of President Vladimir Putin.

"Our most sincere congratulations to the Russian people and government for the resounding victory of the Yes vote in the constitutional referendum of this July 1st."

In recent days, Russians went to the polls to vote in a national referendum on constitutional amendments, one of which will allow for the re-election of the president.
