La Paz, May 22 (RHC) -- Bolivian President Evo Morales inaugurated the Agricultural Business and Technology Institute named after Cuba's National Hero Jose Marti in the Chuquisaca department of Bolivia.

The center has been operational for two years now, but the official inauguration was held on Wednesday in the presence of Morales, Governor Esteban Urquizo and members of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly.

“Jose Marti is for Cubans what Tupac Katari or Simón Bolivar is for us in Bolivia,” noted President Morales in reference to the Cuban hero, whose death in combat in 1895 was celebrated on Monday, May 19th.

In his commemorative speech, Evo Morales also urged workers and students to learn more about Marti's life and work.
