Exhibition in Crimea

Moscow, Dec 30 (RHC) An exhibition of artistic and literary works was inaugurated today at the Crimean University of Engineering and Pedagogy as a tribute to the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

The president of the Russia-Cuba Friendship Association in the Russian republic of Crimea, Irina Kiviko, said that the activity was organized by the regional friendship group and the Council of Ministers of that territory.

On the day, an orchestra made up of students of the university center offered a concert also dedicated to the Caribbean Island.

At the opening of the exhibition, the friends of the Island condemned the economic, commercial, and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba and called for an end to this cruel policy.

They also highlighted the courage and determination of the Cuban people to maintain their sovereignty and independence despite the constant attacks by the enemies of their Revolution.

Kiviko recalled that recently, the Russian Government decided to allocate 800 million rubles for the purchase of wheat for Cuba, and also the Russian people are raising funds to help the Cubans.

Not long-ago Russia received the visit of the President of Cuba, who met with Vladimir Putin, and inaugurated a monument to Fidel Castro in the city of Moscow, a sign that bilateral friendly ties are being strengthened, he emphasized.

He added that for the next year 2023 it is planned to organize readings in the Crimean capital Simferopol dedicated to the outstanding fighter, writer, poet, and journalist Jose Marti, on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of his birth.

It is also planned to establish friendly ties between the universities of Crimea and Cuba, celebrate the 95th anniversary of Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara by erecting a monument in honor of his visit to Crimea, and build a Russian-Cuban friendship alley, he concluded. (Source: PL)
