The Minister of Public Health, José Angel Portal Miranda, disclosed the figure during the Temporary Working Group's meeting for the Prevention and Control of the new coronavirus held on Friday.

Portal informed that 3 million 905 069 people were surveyed on Thursday, of which 1 million 146 500 corresponded to those who make up the most vulnerable population group.

Cuba has conducted one million 304 921 PCR tests to diagnose the disease, out of which 9 893 have been positive.

The provinces with the highest COVID-19 positivity rate in the last fifteen days are Artemisa, Pinar del Río, Mayabeque, Havana, Matanzas, Santiago de Cuba, and Villa Clara, and the special municipality Isle of Youth.
