Cuba reports five fatalities and 858 new COVID-19 infections

Havana, Havana, Feb 10 (RHC) The national director of Epidemiology of the Cuban Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Francisco Durán, reported on Wednesday five deaths and 858 new infections of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours.

This update brings the total number of diagnoses to 34,922 and 249 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic in the country.

During his TV briefing, Dr. Duran said that 16,798 patients were admitted with Sars-Cov-2 related issues by midnight. Of them, 4,943 were active cases. 981 people recovered and were discharged during the day.

Havana recorded the most cases, 438, followed by Guantanamo with 171, and Santiago de Cuba 110.
