Havana, July 13 (RHC)-- The Cuban Trade Union Federation and the National Trade Unions strongly rejected the acts of disorder that took place in several cities on Sunday, supported by a media campaign that seeks to delegitimize the Cuban Revolution.

In a press statement, they affirmed that the government of the United States is determined to provoke a social explosion in Cuba, based on the tightening of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade and the adoption of 243 measures dictated during the administration of Donald Trump, those that hinder the progress of the country's development programs, sensitively affecting the wellbeing of the workers and their families.

"The Trade Union Movement expresses its firm support, to the revolutionary and patriotic response of our heroic people and ratifies the commitment to the defense of the Revolution, maximizing the growth of efficiency in the production of goods and services that allow satisfying the demands of the people," the statement said.
