The collective urged governments to reject any form of interference in Cuba’s internal affairs

Havana, Sept 1 (RHC) The Colombian Movement of Solidarity with Cuba (MCSC) expressed Thursday in Bogota its most energetic rejection of recent revelations about the existence of destabilizing plans orchestrated from the United States against the government and Cuban people.

In a communiqué, the collective expressed its support to the Cuban people in these moments of challenge, and reaffirmed its commitment to justice, freedom and sovereignty of the peoples.

"The recently revealed information evidences an alarming plot to sabotage the attendance of the honorable Cuban leader, Miguel Díaz-Canel, to the United Nations General Assembly, where he would exercise his role as president of the G-77 Movement and China," it said.

The MCSC considered that this type of actions demonstrate a flagrant disrespect for the independence of nations, their free self-determination, the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and the legitimate participation of Cuba in the international arena.

Likewise, he alerted the national government, the people of Colombia and the international community of the attempts to use the upcoming G77+China Summit, scheduled to take place in Havana, as a propitious scenario for destabilization actions by counterrevolutionaries and terrorists.

Likewise, he urged the international community to be alert to these maneuvers and to strongly condemn any act that goes against the principles of self-determination, peace and respect for the sovereignty of nations.

He urged governments, especially the Colombian government, to reject any form of interference in Cuba's internal affairs and to support the right of its people to decide their own destiny. (Source: Prensa Latina)
