In Cuba, Grenada's Prime Minister to participate in ALBA-TCP Summit

Havana, December 13 (RHC) Grenada's Prime Minister Keith Mitchell arrived Monday in Havana to participate in the 20th Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance of the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), to be held Tuesday,  December 14.

Cuban Minister of Higher Education José Ramón Saborido received the visitor at the José Martí International Airport.

Mitchell said upon his arrival, he felt very happy, grateful, and pleased to be in Cuba and anxious to begin the Summit sessions.

"The people of Grenada will always remember the support of the Cuban people in the training of their young people in the field of education and health," he added.

The head of government recalled the visit to his country of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro in 1999 and expressed his desire to celebrate all the achievements of recent times at the regional meeting.

Grenada joined ALBA-TCP on December 14, 2014.
