CARICOM invites Cuba to a governmental meeting of the regional bloc

Havana, August 6 (RHC)-- The member of the Political Bureau and vice president of the Republic of Cuba, Salvador Valdés Mesa, received on Friday the special envoy of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, Alma Augusta Adams, bearer of the official invitation to the Cuban government to attend the CARICOM Governmental Meeting, which will take place this month in Nassau.

The meeting will prepare for the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference in 2022 (COP27).

Sent by the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, Philip Edward Davis, the distinguished visitor and the Cuban Vice President held a meeting in a cordial atmosphere, which was also attended by Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Rodolfo Benítez Verson, Director General of Multilateral Affairs and International Law of the Cuban Foreign Ministry.
