Havana, August 24 (RHC)--Cuba and China held political consultations on Monday in virtual format. They gave continuity to the exchanges held at different levels this year as an expression of the high priority given by both governments to their close ties of friendship and cooperation.

Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo and her Chinese counterpart, Xie Feng, highlighted the excellent state of bilateral relations and ratified the common will to continue strengthening inter-chancellery dialogues.

The parties highlighted the high level of agreement, coincidence, and mutual support in international organizations, always in favor of multilateralism, the principles of International Law, and the role of the United Nations,  reported the CubaMinrex website.

Rodríguez Camejo thanked the Asian giant for its expressions of solidarity and acknowledged its invariable stance of condemnation of the blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.

For his part, Xie Feng acknowledged Cuba's position of unrestricted support for the "one China" principle and rejection of interference in its internal affairs.
