New Delhi, Sep 20 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla met with his Indian counterpart, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, with whom he exchanged views on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session.

 

Jaishankar said he looked forward to working together in the G-77, a group of developing countries that aims to support each other in UN deliberations, and in other multilateral formats, the Press Trust of India news agency reported.

 

The two sides discussed rice supply and development projects, and Jaishankar also expressed his appreciation for the Panchakarma Center in Havana for traditional Indian medicine, the source said.

Recently, the Indian government granted Cuba a line of credit for 100 million euros for the purchase of rice, he added.

 

The Indian Foreign Minister arrived on Sunday in New York to participate in the 77th high-level session of the UN General Assembly, which begins on Tuesday with the opening of the general debate. (Source: Prensa Latina)
