Havana Nov 9 (RHC) The secretary general of the Federation of Cuban Women, Teresa Amarelle, will take part today in a high-level dialogue on the care society in Latin America and the Caribbean, to be held in Argentina.

The event will take place at 3:00 p.m. local time in Buenos Aires and aims to analyze the current context and the implementation of public policies that guarantee a redistribution of this work. In addition, the debate will focus on the development of universal, intersectoral, comprehensive, co-responsible, and sustainable care systems that guarantee equal rights.

The Dialogue is part of the XIV Regional Conference on Women, which was officially inaugurated the day before by Argentine President Alberto Fernández.

The event is attended by representatives of governments, organizations, academics, and members of civil society, especially feminist movements.

Its main theme is The Caring Society: a horizon for a sustainable recovery with equality, and at least 31 parallel activities are scheduled to take place.
