Ángel Arzuaga, Vice Chief and Coordinator of the Department of International Relations of the Communist Party of Cuba.

Caracas, Nov 19 (RHC) The vice chief and coordinator of the International Relations department of the Communist Party of Cuba, Ángel Arzuaga, valued the transcendence of the meeting of the Working Group of the San Pablo Forum, which concludes today in Venezuela.

The Cuban politician stressed that the meeting in Caracas constitutes a sincere act of solidarity with the Bolivarian Republic, with the legitimate President Nicolás Maduro, with the heroic Venezuelan people, and with the civic-military union.

The triumph of progressive and leftist governments in our continent, he said, gave joy to our peoples such as that achieved by Gustavo Petro, in Colombia, where for the first time there is a leftist-oriented government, and that of Luis Inácio Lula da Silva, in Brazil.

Cuba will continue to support the neo-Granadian nation in its quest to achieve lasting peace, which is very important to maintain Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, he said.

He affirmed that as the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, said, unity is the secret that has led us to the triumph of the Revolution and it is very important that it is also in America.

Regarding the parallel encounters to these meetings, organized by the right-wing, such as the recent one held in Mexico, Arzuaga expressed that it does not matter whether they meet here or there because they are the expression of defeat, while the Sao Paulo Forum is the hope of unity and future that we need.

The politician explained that all the parties and social movements participating in this meeting in Venezuela are in solidarity with the island.

He indicated that he participated here in the XII National Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba where the thought of the unity of our America of Simón Bolívar, José Martí, Hugo Chávez, and Fidel Castro, was present.

In the meeting of the Working Group of the San Pablo Forum, the solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and the condemnation of the intensified economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the US Government on the Caribbean nation are also in force.

We are included in a spurious list of countries sponsoring terrorism, with a fierce media campaign of unconventional warfare to try to destroy the Revolution, he said.

He affirmed that Cuba will win, as well as Venezuela and Nicaragua, and ratified that Havana will not abandon its principles, nor will it allow itself to be subdued.

As President Miguel Díaz-Canel has said, with science, innovation, and determination we will overcome the blockade, and with creative resistance, we will develop the country, regardless of the aggressions, the blockade, and the fact that the enemies want to see us destroyed.

The party leader assured that the Cuban Revolution will continue to grow stronger, consolidating itself as a beacon and guide for our America, and will not disappoint the peoples of the region and much less those of the world who are fighting for their emancipation. (Source: PL)
