U.S. cities ask to establish medical cooperation with Cuba

 Cuban Minister of Public Health, José Ángel Portal Miranda, informed that this Sunday he received a delegation from the U.S. Congress that is on an official visit to Havana

Havana, Dec 12 (RHC) Eleven U.S. cities requested to establish medical cooperation with Cuba to benefit from our achievements in the face of Covid-19, said the doctor in Political Science José Ramón Cabañas Rodríguez, director of the Center for International Policy Research (CIPI) in his Twitter account.

 

The diplomat added to his message a tweet from the Cuban Minister of Public Health, José Ángel Portal Miranda, informing that this Sunday he received a delegation from the U.S. Congress that is on an official visit to Havana.

 

During the meeting, the minister talked about the experiences of the national health system, and especially about what the Island has done during the fight against the pandemic.

 

The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel also held an exchange with the U.S. delegation on Saturday.

 

The dignitary emphasized the harmful impact of Washington's economic, commercial and financial blockade and the maximum pressure measures imposed by the previous administration, which are still in force.

 

According to the Cuban Presidency, Díaz-Canel reiterated our country's willingness to move towards a respectful and constructive relationship with the United States. (Source: ACN).
