ALBA-TCP celebrates 18th anniversary in Cuban Parliament

Havana, Dec 14 (RHC) Representatives of Nicaragua, Venezuela, Bolivia, St. Vincent, and the Grenadines, Dominica, Grenada, St. Lucia, and Antigua and Barbuda celebrated Wednesday the 18th anniversary of ALBA-TCP, at the sixth extraordinary session of the Cuban Parliament.

 

Held at the Havana Convention Palace, members of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) shared their experiences with Cuban deputies at a meeting attended by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Raúl Castro Ruz, and the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel.

 

The head of the Cuban Parliament, Esteban Lazo Hernández thanked the presidents of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro; of Bolivia, Luis Arce; and of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega for their presence.

 

Also present were the Prime Ministers of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Roosevelt Skerrit, St. Vincent, and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves, and Grenada, Dickon Mitchell, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Antigua and Barbuda, Chet Greene, and the Minister of Finance of St. Lucia, Wayne Girard, among other representatives of the member nations of the bloc.

 

Lazo Hernández highlighted the history of ALBA-TCP, which has several examples that prove its spirit of solidarity, complementarity, social justice, and collaboration. (Source: PL)
