Havana, Dec 23 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez affirmed Friday that the Caribbean nation's diplomacy remains committed to defend the Revolution.

Through his Twitter account, the foreign minister sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of today's 63rd anniversary of the founding of that Ministry.

Warm congratulations to the workers of MINREX and to all those who have participated in our battles during these 63 years, Rodríguez wrote.

He added that the revolutionary diplomacy reaffirms the commitment to serve with loyalty to the Homeland and the heroic Cuban people and to defend its Revolution.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba was established on December 23, 1959, by a Decree of the Revolutionary Government and replaced the Ministry of State, an agency created at the time of the first U.S. occupation and designed to serve the interests of U.S. imperialism.
