Havana, Mar 7 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and Zimbabwean Ambassador to Havana Ignatius Graham Mudzimba spoke Tuesday of strengthening political ties and cooperation in sectors of mutual interest.

On his Twitter account, Rodriguez said he received the diplomat from the African country, at the Foreign Ministry headquarters.

Both nations maintain fraternal and historic diplomatic relations, which will reach 43 years on April 20, characterized by mutual support and respect.

At present, young Zimbabweans are studying medicine in Cuba, while Cuban health collaborators are working in that nation.

The Republic of Zimbabwe maintains a firm position against the economic, commercial, and financial blockade of the United States against the island. Likewise, Cuba has repeatedly condemned the imposition of unilateral sanctions against that African country by Washington and the European Union. (Source: Prensa Latina)
