Havana, Feb 10 (RHC) The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CC-PCC) and president of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel attended on Friday the first International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Parties and Movements of the Left, held at Casa de las Americas in Havana.

 

During the afternoon session of the event, the nearly 100 delegates from some thirty countries exchanged ideas on possible actions to be undertaken together to face the new global scenario, marked by a structural crisis in various fields such as economy, environment, culture, and society.

 

In the morning two workshops were held: the first one called 'US imperialism and the new world geopolitical configuration', and the second one dedicated to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, 'Fidel Castro, and international solidarity'.

The meeting will be extended until Sunday and foresees a panel on socialism and youth, as well as the presentation of the book 'La era del conspiracionismo', by Ignacio Ramonet (Source: Prensa Latina).
