Havana, Feb 17 (RHC) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel praised the historic results in the survival rate of surgical interventions at the Ernesto Guevara Cardiocenter in Santa Clara.

In a meeting with the medical staff of the facility and neighbors of the Chambery neighborhood of this city, the Cuban leader was presented as a candidate for deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power along with seven other comrades.

The also first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba stressed that the institution is a national health reference and its results in surgical procedures have always been above 95 percent survival rate, something that places them at the forefront of surgical activity on the island.

He pointed out the confidence that the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, always had in this center, who respected the accuracy and professionalism with which surgical operations were performed and supported the remodeling and expansion of this center.
