Cuba congratulates Poland for its National Holiday

Havana, May 3 (RHC) - The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs congratulated today, through its Twitter account, the people and government of the Republic of Poland on the occasion of its National Holiday for the proclamation of the first Constitution.

The ministry also ratified the will to continue strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation with that Eurasian nation.

The proclamation of the first Polish magna carta included reforms aimed at strengthening the state, and introduced political equality between the population and the nobility. Adopted on May 3, 1791 in Warsaw, the regulations are considered the first modern Constitution in Europe and the second in the world, after that of the United States (1787). In 1990, May 3 was proclaimed a national holiday.

Cuba and Poland are analyzing the possibility of increasing cooperation in areas such as health, tourism, education and trade. (Source: Prensa Latina)
