The Perekop training ship of the Russian Navy will carry out an extensive program of activities in Cuba

Havana, July 11 (RHC) The Perekop training ship of the Russian Navy arrived on Tuesday at the port of Havana, the capital of Cuba, to carry out an extensive program of activities.

The deputy chief of the Revolutionary Navy (MGR), flotilla captain José Luis Souto, and the Russian ambassador to Cuba, Victor Koronelli, were present at the reception.

Upon entering the Havana bay, the Perekop ship fired several salvoes, which were reciprocated by an artillery battery of the Revolutionary Armed Forces from the San Carlos de la Cabaña Fortress.

During their stay in Cuba, the Russian sailors will pay courtesy visits to the head of the MGR and the governor of Havana, and will also visit places of historical and cultural interest.

The population will be able to visit the ship tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time, and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
