Cuba will collaborate with Angola in doctoral program

Havana, Aug 16 (RHC) Angola will develop a training program for doctors in science, in different branches of knowledge, for which it will have the help of Cuba.

The project, which defends an inclusive vision, is destined to become a key element in strengthening the scientific capital of that African country, which needs to place science at the service of national development.

The Cuban Ministry of Higher Education will be the cooperating entity in these efforts. In a first phase, 22 universities in the Caribbean nation will undertake the training of doctors in health sciences and education, among other areas.

As a novelty, doctoral students will not necessarily have to leave Angola to study, but will be able to complete the academic program remotely, virtually, which reduces costs.

Cuba has graduated more than 9,800 Angolan students at different levels of education, and specialists from the island contribute to the development of education in the African nation. (Source: PL)
