Angola and Cuba sign cooperation agreements

Havana, Aug 21 (RHC) Representatives of Cuba and Angola signed memoranda of understanding on tourism, drug regulation and investment.

The Angolan Minister of Culture and Tourism, Filipe Zau; and the Cuban ambassador in Luanda, Esther Armenteros, gave effect to the agreement to work together in the leisure industry.

The Cuban diplomat signed such agreement on behalf of the island’s Ministry of Tourism, and was also in charge of signing on behalf of the Cuban Center for State Control of Medicines, Equipment and Medical Devices, which established a memorandum with the Angolan Regulatory Agency for Medicines and Health Technologies, represented by its general director, Katiza Mangueira.

The third agreement was signed by the executive director of the Luanda-Bengo Economic Zone, Manuel Francisco Pedro, who established ties with the Mariel Special Development Zone in Cuba.

This Monday the president of the Caribbean nation spoke with his counterpart Lourenço, a dialogue he described as fruitful.
