Havana, December 19 (RHC) -- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel participates today in the second day of debates of the permanent commissions, prior to the second ordinary period of sessions of the National Assembly of People's Power.

The head of state is leading the analysis of the Commission for Attention to Local Bodies of People's Power on compliance with the provisions established for the municipal assemblies and their local bodies, which must carry out prevention and social care actions.

The president of the legislative body, Esteban Lazo, and the Secretary of Organization of the Communist Party of Cuba, Roberto Morales, also participated in this debate.

The deputies explained that discreet progress has been made in the implementation of the strategy to promote the tasks of prevention and social attention.

In this sense, work is being carried out in terms of unity, coherence, linkage and follow-up to the main demands of families by social workers directly in the communities. (Source:PL)
