Havana, February 7 (Web Network)-- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro ratified on Wednesday his country's solidarity with the Cuban people, on the 62nd anniversary of the officialization of the U.S. economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba.

In his profile on the social network X, the dignitary describes as inhumane the measure implemented on February 7, 1962 when President John F. Kennedy stamped his signature, decreeing that illegal policy against the Caribbean nation.

"Cuba has been resisting for 62 years against the most inhumane act of war and economic blockade ever committed against any nation," Maduro wrote.

He also called for the definitive end of the blockade, which he described as illegal, interventionist and genocidal.
