Cuban ambassador talks with Sri Lankan delegation that will travel to Cuba

The Sri Lankan delegation will participate in the activities on the island for the International Workers' Day

 

Havana, April 24 (RHC) Cuban ambassador Andrés González met this Wednesday with the Sri Lankan delegation that will participate in the activities for International Workers' Day in the Caribbean nation.

According to a publication from the Cuban mission to Colombo, after some years of absence a representation of the South Asian country, headed by G. V. Tilakasiri, deputy general secretary of the Democratic Left Front, will be part of the international delegations in the activities on the island for the International Workers' Day.

During the meeting, which also included the participation of the first secretary Maribel Duarte, González thanked them for their participation and wished them a happy stay in the island.

The Cuban diplomat pointed out that the presence of the Sri Lankan delegation in the largest of the Antilles will allow for closer ties between the two countries. (Source: PL)
