Havana, December 18 (RHC)-- The ten permanent commissions of the National Assembly of People's Power (Cuban Parliament) concluded their work Thursday, with the approval of work plans for 2015.

Deputies agreed on concrete actions to continue responding to the needs and concerns of their people, whom they represent and are part of. Adopted measures include the resumption of visits by groups of parliamentarians to communities, municipalities, and state and government institutions all across the island to exchange directly with the people on pressing national and local issues.

During Thursday's closing session, parliamentarians learned about the joint environmental and entrepreneurial work to clean up the Havana Bay, and also about other aspects of interest, including new actions to confront social indiscipline, crime and illegalities.

The work of the commissions precedes the 4th period of ordinary sessions of the Cuban Parliament's 8th legislature, set for Friday, December 19th, during which Cuban deputies will review compliance with the 2014 economic plan and will also discuss and approve the economic plan and the state budget for 2015.
