Cuba and Nicaragua Boost Trade Exchange

Managua, February 25 (RHC-PL) -- A delegation of Cuban business people and officials are visiting Nicaragua to promote trade exchange between both countries.

The group, led by Cuban Deputy Industry Minister Eloy Alvarez, and made up of representatives of industrial areas such as the production of agricultural machinery, footwear, hygiene and cleanliness, arrived in Managua Tuesday night.

Meetings with Nicaraguan business people and government authorities are expected as part of the agenda. According to Alvarez, the objective of the visit is to pave the way for mutually beneficial agreements and the industrial development of both nations.

Nicaraguan Deputy Development, Industry and Trade Minister, Jesus Bermudez, stated that this is the first Cuban delegation arriving in this Central American country in the framework of a bilateral agreement signed in 2014, as part of initiatives developed by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America, ALBA.
