Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang Invited to Visit Cuba

Hanoi, July 1 (RHC) –- The Special Envoy of Cuban President Raul Castro, Alejandro Castro Espin, has conveyed an invitation to visit Cuba to Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang.

The Vietnamese president hosted a reception for the Special Envoy in Hanoi on Tuesday, June 30th, where he affirmed the determination of the Vietnamese Party, State and people to work closely with their Cuban counterparts to further strengthen the comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.

He also spoke highly of the results of working sessions between the Special Envoy, who is also Secretary of Cuba's National Security and Defense Commission, and Vietnamese ministries and sectors during their visit to Vietnam.

For his part, Alejandro Castro Espin, who is on a working visit to Vietnam from June 28th through July 3rd, said his visit aims to deepen the special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and people.
