Havana, November 21 (RHC-PL) --  Cuba will join, with cultural activities, the actions in the world for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, said organizers today.

Cuban singer Rochy Ameneiro, who leads the project "Todas contracorriente" and is a member of the network of artists "Unete", invites people to dance against gender violence on November 25, at the park on 15 and 16 streets in El Vedado.

The initiative, also joined by musician X Alfonso and the dance group Paso a Paso, invites those interested to participate in the event, regardless of gender, age and creed, while urging them to wear any orange garment or accessory, as orange is the color used in activities for gender equality.

For the November 25th activity, a Youtube video is already promoting some dance steps, which will also be taught to the people at the park, while the activity will be recorded and the video screened to promote actions against gender violence.

From November 25 to December 10th (Human Rights Day), various organizations in the world will promote 16 days of actions against gender violence, seeking to make people aware of this problem and gather as many supporters as possible.
