Havana, December 23 (RHC)- The Red Star club of Belgrade, with Cuban Cecilia Diaz Mesa as one of its offensive mainstays, will play the final of the Serbian Cup of Water Polo, on the 28th, against Vojvodina, the only team that has defeated the red-and-white team this season.

In the regular phase, the player from Villaclareña once again stood out on offense and maintained her streak of games where she scored nine goals in three games, with a special highlight against Tash2000, in the opening game of the tournament in the city of Novi Sad.

Diaz scored six times in a 32-8 victory, according to official records on the Red Star website, which ranked second in the qualifiers.

In addition to the win over Tash2000, the Red-and-Whites drew 9-9 with Partizan and lost 11-10 to Vojvodina.

On the 28th in Belgrade, reigning Cup and League holders Vojvodina and Red Star, runners-up in the League and seven-time Cup winners from 2014-2020, will meet for the third time this season.

This season, all three of the Belgrade side's defeats in the two Serbian tournaments and the Danube League have come against Vojvodina.
