Mexico City, November 3 (JIT)-- Cuban Ambassador to Mexico, Marcos Rodríguez Costa, received on Wednesday the Cuban delegation that will participate in the U-18 Pan American Baseball Championship in Baja California del Sur 2022.

"Count on us for whatever is necessary," he said at the Benito Juarez International Airport, where he welcomed players and coaches summoned to a lid that will mint four World Cup quotas.

"They arrive at a stellar moment in the relations between Cuba and Mexico," said Rodriguez, who called on them to be consistent with the responsibility of fighting for victory and deserving the medal of dignity.

In this sense, he called to squander teamwork and discipline in all scenarios, sure of the level of preparation made, to return to the homeland as protagonists of a performance at the height of expectations.

He highlighted the presence in the group of the glory of the sport Pedro Medina, and insisted that they will have at their disposal all the support of the Cuban diplomatic mission.

Headed by Inder vice-president Omar Venega, the delegation will continue its trip in the next few hours to the city of La Paz, the main venue of group A, which also includes Mexico, Dominican Republic, Panama and Nicaragua.
