Cuban female shooters for bronze in 10-meter air rifle

Havana, November 9 (JIT)-- The Cuban women's 10-meter air rifle team will compete for bronze medals at the Pan American Shooting Sport Championship in Lima, Peru.

During the qualifying phase of the event, the Cubans totaled 1,844.9 units and finished third, with which they will compete for bronze this Wednesday against Guatemala.

The best placed for Cuba was Dianelys Perez, fourth in the individual final.

In the men's competition, the best Cuban was Alexander Molerio (11th), while in the team competition the Cubans finished seventh.

As for the women's competition in the 25-meter pistol, the precision heats were held on Tuesday. Laina Perez finished in 14th place and was the best for Cuba.

This Wednesday, the rapid fire rounds will be shot.

According to the general rules of the event, Cuba secured on Tuesday three more places for the Pan American Games of Santiago 2023, through Dianelys Perez, Lisbet Hernandez and Alexander Molerio.
