Havana, December 23 (RHC)-- This Friday could be a day of definitions of the second to fourth places in the standings of the 1st Elite Baseball League, led by the unreachable Agricultores, with a balance of 30 wins and 17 losses.

The Agricultores will face today at the Victoria de Girón stadium in Matanzas, the host Centrales, second in the standings with Portuarios, with a balance of 25 wins and 23 losses.

The scenario of the duel between the local Portuarios and Ganaderos (19-27/fifths) will be the Nelson Fernandez of Mayabeque, while Tabacaleros (24-23/fourths) will receive Cafetaleros (18-28/sixth) at the Capitan San Luis of Pinar del Rio.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Agricultores split honors with Ganaderos, while Portuarios and Centrales swept Tabacaleros and Cafetaleros, respectively.

The truth is that the fight for the order is centered between Portuarios, Centrales and Tabacaleros, since the first two are tied and the third are only half a game behind, well away from Ganaderos and Cafetaleros.

Once the first four places are established, the crossings will be defined for the beginning in January of the semifinal play-offs, in search of the tickets for the expected final, from which the champion that will represent Cuba in the Gran Caracas 2023 Caribbean Baseball Series, from February 2 to 10, will emerge.

The Venezuelan venues will be the La Rinconada stadium in Caracas and the La Guaira Forum, with the presence of eight teams.
