Paris-2024

Paris, February 22 (PL) - The first tickets put on sale for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games were sold out in less than a week after being proposed for minimum three-ticket packs, organizers said.

According to the source, there are no tickets left for seven sports: fencing, BMX freestyle, BMX racing, climbing, skateboarding, triathlon and breakdancing.

However, they clarified that it is only for this sales phase and that the lucky ones were chosen by lottery among the 3 million registered to aspire to a maximum of 30 seats.

The sale of packs began on February 15. Among the most popular sports, which still have places available, are athletics, beach volleyball and soccer, said the organizers.

In this sense, they added that on March 15 -and until April 20- a new sales period begins with 7 million tickets available, which will cover all sports sessions.

As they are sold in packages, buyers are obliged to buy reservations for sports they are not interested in, so they will later have a resale phase available, the statement said.

These revenues are expected to reach 1.4 billion euros, one third of the budget of the Games' organizing committee.
