Cuban Lazaro Alvarez remains undefeated in professional boxing

Havana, August 19 (JIT) -- Cuban Lazaro Alvarez knocked out Mexican Edgar Espinosa and celebrated for the sixth consecutive time in professional boxing as a pillar of the Domadores.

Confirmed as the top winner of his franchise in those circuits, the Central American and Caribbean Boxing Federation monarch defined with authority in the first of the 10 rounds of a fight agreed in the 135-pound division.

"Candidate for the knockout of the year", said the specialized page ESPN shortly after the "southpaw" to the face with which the triple world champion fulminated a man who showed a balance of seven wins and four losses.

It was the third such outcome signed by Lazaro among professionals, this one becoming a highlight for the fulfilled purpose of dedicating his performance to the 87th birthday of the great trainer Alcides Sagarra.

The next member of Domadores de Cuba to step into the ring is two-time Olympic champion Roniel Iglesias, on October 6 in Tijuana, against an opponent yet to be determined.
