Vuelta a España

Madrid, Jun 2 (PL) The organizers of the Vuelta a España presented today the Brazil Challenge, a cycling race that will take place on December 6 and 7 of this year.

The competition will be held over two days in Sao Paulo, the first day with a 30-kilometer team time trial and the second with a 50 or 100-kilometer online race.

According to the source, the courses will include prizes for the general classification and by age groups in the long distance, as well as special timed mountain segments in both genders.

"Our event continues its international growth. We have important historical relations with Latin America and it is another sign of our commitment to take the universe of La Vuelta beyond our borders" , said the race director, Javier Guillén.

The head of the Spanish round showed his conviction that Brazil will give them a 'great' and 'warm welcome'.

At the beginning of the year, La Vuelta also announced a new challenge in Mexico, which will take place at the end of the year, although the date and place have yet to be defined.
