Barcelona, Jun 4 (RHC) Joan García gave his definitive yes to FC Barcelona and agreed to join the Catalan club to become its new goalkeeper, according to Mundo Deportivo.

According to the newspaper, after meeting on Tuesday night with several members of the agency that represents him, headed by his agent Juanma López, and with his family, García gave his definitive "ok" to activate his signing with Barça.

The 24-year-old goalkeeper, by far the one who made the most saves in the 2024-2025 LaLiga season, arrives at the azulgrana club from Espanyol of Barcelona, the city's fierce rivals.

The board of directors of the Culé club, newly crowned champions of the Spanish League, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup, confirmed that next week they will proceed to pay the player's termination clause, which is estimated at 25 million", since "Espanyol is not willing to negotiate anything over that amount".

This imminent signing fuels speculation about Marc André Ter Stegen, one of Barcelona's captains, who could leave the club this summer, to the surprise of many.
