
Women's Softball
Havana, Jul 1 (RHC) - Today, Cuba's women's softball team will face its Argentinean counterpart with the aim of preserving its undefeated record in the Super Round of the 11th Pan American Championship being held in Monteria, Colombia.
The Antilleans lead the phase with a perfect 4-0 record, after defeating El Salvador 6-0 the day before and the hosts Colombia 6-1 at the end of the day.
Today's match against the Argentines, who lost 4-8 to Venezuela yesterday, is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. local time at the Jose Gabriel Amin Manzur Stadium.
Behind Cuba in the standings is Puerto Rico, also undefeated in three games, followed by Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela, all with a 2-1 record.
Already qualified for the Central American and Caribbean Games of Santo Domingo 2026, the Cubans now aspire to one of the five tickets in dispute for the World Cup stages, as well as one of the six places for the Pan American Games of Lima 2027.
