
Livan Moinelo
Havana, July 19 (RHC) - Cuban Liván Moinelo pitched a complete game in the SoftBank Hawks' 4-0 victory over the Seibu Lions, earning his eighth win of the season in the 2025 Japanese Professional Baseball League.
Visiting the Belluna Dome in Tokorozawa, the speedy left-hander from Pinar del Río, who pitched his second complete game of the season, improved his record to 8-2 and his ERA to 1.27, which reaffirms him as the absolute leader in that department in the Pacific League.
With this eighth win, Moinelo tied for second place in his circuit with fellow left-hander Ryuhei Sotani of the Orix Buffaloes, both surpassed by the 10 wins of right-hander Hiromi Ito of the Nippon Ham Fighters.
In addition, Liván struck out two batters in the game and gave up the same number of walks. With those two strikeouts, he reached 117, leading the Central League in that category.
So far, the left-hander has made 16 starts, and in 113.1 innings pitched, he has allowed 74 hits, with five home runs and 26 walks.
