Venezuela Assumes Rotating Presidency of Association of Caribbean States

Havana, March 11 (RHC)-- Venezuela assumed Friday the rotating presidency of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), during the 22nd Meeting of the bloc's Ministerial Council at Havana's Habana Libre Hotel.

ACS Secretary General June Soomer made the announcement and congratulated the government and people of the South American nation and expressed confidence that Venezuela will carry out a fruitful work, advancing and defending the interests of ACS members.

The diplomat from Saint Lucia pledged to work together with authorities in Caracas toward further integration among the 25 members of the Association.
