COVID-19 was likely in United States in mid-December 2019

New York, December 2 (RHC)-- According to reports from the United States, more information has come to light about the early days of the coronavirus pandemic.  A new study reveals COVID-19 was likely already in the United States in mid-December of 2019, weeks before it was first identified in China.

This new information comes as the U.S. death toll from the virus has topped 270,000 -- by far the highest total in the world.

In other COVID news, an advisory panel at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia voted to recommend healthcare workers, residents and staff at nursing homes and other long-term care facilities be the first ones to receive a coronavirus vaccine once it is approved.
