Campaign in favor of Lula da Silva held in Brazil

Brasilia, February 27 (RHC)-- A campaign in defense of the political rights of the former president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, was held on Saturday.  The "Free Lula Working Group" was attended by former President Dilma Rousseff, former Foreign Minister Celso Amorim, Maranhão governor Flávio Dino, Joao Pedro Stédile, from the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST) and the mayor of the French city of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, among others.

Also present were Jean Willis, lawyer Alberto Toron, attorney Gisele Cittadino, Pastora Romi, Paulo Galo of the anti-fascist couriers, Marco Aurélio Carvalho, of the Perrogativas group, and councilwoman Erika Hilton.

In addition, artists Osmar Prado, Família Passos, Tadeu di Pietro, Herson Capri, Otto, Antonio Grassi, Lucélia Santos, Cristina Pereira, Bete Mendes, Francis Hime and singer Alice Passos.

The event was divided into the following blocks:

* The impacts of Lava Jato in the devastation of Brazil, with Dilma Rousseff, Celso Amorim, João Pedro Stédile and Adriana Marcolino.

* The Lava Jato crimes and the role of the media, with Alberto Toron, Gisele Cittadino and Angela Carrato.

* The challenges of a new justice system, with Governor Flávio Dino and lawyer Marco Aurélio Carvalho.

* The need for a new Country project, with Paulo Galo, from the antifascist liberators, Pastora Romi and Erika Hilton.
