Bolivian President Luis Arce asks doctors to stop strike and begin vaccinations

La Paz, March 4 (RHC)-- The president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, in a speech delivered in the department of Cochabamba regarding the beginning of the vaccinations, called on doctors affiliated to the National Health Council to stop the strike and join the immunization campaign against COVID-19.

"I urge the doctors who are prioritizing personal interests and not the interests of the Bolivian people to stop these attitudes, start working and vaccinate the Bolivian people," said Luis Arce.

The president stressed that the ongoing mass vaccination will continue with several stages and will be the structural solution to the problem of COVID-19 "by reducing the rate of infection and lethality in the country."

"This month we plan to have, in about 10 days, 100,000 more vaccines.  And until the end of the month -- 1.6 million.  Then we are going to start another 1.6 million (of immunizers) and so on until we complete about eight million," added the president.
