Venezuelan government and opposition representatives sign initial agenda agreement​​​​

Caracas, August 14 (RHC)-- President Nicolás Maduro welcomed the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Government and the Venezuelan opposition, in the framework of the dialogue table that began on Friday in Mexico City.

On his Twitter social network account, the head of state wrote: "We welcome the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding reached between the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Unitary Platform of the Opposition."

Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, for her part, assured in a tweet that "the people of Venezuela triumphed! Our delegation arrived with Bolívar in our hearts and Chávez as a banner for the world to hear the truth of the Venezuelan homeland."

Foreign Minister Jorge Arreza, for his part, stressed on Twitter that "understanding, encounter and agreements in favor of the people, are the keys to peace and stability in Venezuela."

The installation of the dialogue table, the key points of the memorandum of understanding, recognize the institutionality of the Venezuelan State and its president. The Venezuelan people have resisted enormous aggressions and today they are witnessing the triumph of words over force.
