Camagüey, December 2 (RHC)-- A vigil in tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, rallied thousands at the Ignacio Agramonte Plaza Mayor in Camaguey this Thursday night.

A patriotic activity with songs, anthems, poems, dances and traditional music by  more than 200 local artists honored the memory of Fidel, who entered triumphantly in this city on January 4, 1959, following the victory of the Cuban Revolution.

The caravan taking the ashes of the Cuban leader to Santiago de Cuba continued to move east earlier this Friday, headed for the provinces of Las Tunas, Holguín and Granma before it reaches its final destination at Santiago’s Santa Ifigenia Cemetery.

A mass rally is scheduled for Santiago de Cuba on Saturday evening, where President Raul Castro will address the crowd.
